A couple was traveling across country and had planned stopovers along
the way. However, they arrived at one town toward evening and found that
all rooms were already taken, because a convention was in progress. They
had no choice but to move on.

Finally, late that night the wife said she could go no farther. She
insisted they stop at the next motel, no matter what. The next motel was
a dump, but they stopped and rented a room. The room was so small, the
bed was jammed into one corner. They settled down with him on the

She had to go the bathroom, so she crawled across and went. She
washed her hands, but found no towels at all. As she was crawling back
